Tourist shares sunset holiday snap that looks like a map of Australia
An Australian tourist has shared a unique image, taken while on holiday in the Northern Territory, that shows a likeness of the map of the country shining through a silhouette created by hedges and trees.
The photograph was taken by Kelly Matthews from Western Australia, who captured the likeness while she was in Darwin to attend a wedding. After posting the picture to Facebook, people noticed the resemblance in the foliage and began sharing the photo, with thousands of people all over the world having now seen it. The positive reaction delighted Matthews, who has a passion for photography and travel, having visited every state and territory in Australia.
One observer on social media humorously pointed out one slight omission, saying, “Tasmania…absent as usual” to which another person commented with the suggested that he go armed with some clippers to add the island to the likeness in the bush.
