Toronto gondola proposed in the Don Valley
A private company called Bullwheel International Cable Car Corp has proposed building a gondola in the Don Valley near Toronto that could cost upwards of $25 million dollars.
The company envisions the project as a major tourist attraction, taking visitors through Toronto’s urban landscape and along the Don River, a waterway that empties into Lake Ontario. The project still has to receive city approval, which the company hasn’t yet applied for, but it will outline the plan during an 8 March public information meeting. The CEO of Bullwheel calls the plan “recreational infrastructure” akin to Toronto Island Ferries, and a round-trip ticket would cost around $10.
