Ticket sales halted for Russia’s Transaero airline as it faces bankruptcy

Russia’s second airline, Transaero, is on the verge of bankruptcy and the sale of tickets for its flights has been suspended.

All operations will cease in mid-December. The airline is believed to have approximately 650,000 forward bookings for Transaero flights, and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) advises travellers with booked tickets to contact the airline or their travel agent.  Read more: travelweekly.co.uk
