Three stolen Pompeii frescoes returned after 50 years

Three priceless Roman frescoes that were stolen from the archaeological site at Pompeii in 1957 have been recovered from the US and returned to Italy. Other items recovered along with the frescoes included ancient Etruscan vases, a Roman sarcophagus lid depicting Ariadne and a 17th-century cannon. Read more: telegraph.co.uk
