Instagram account posts saddest places on earth

With the motto "somewhere to go when you're feeling low" @sadtopographies has created an Instagram account that lists the most depressingly named places on earth.

Posting topographical images of places such as 'slaughter beach' and 'suicide bridge', Sadtopographies has come up with the ingenious idea of researching places with the worst names. Taking screen-grabs of maps, the places mentioned are all real. The result is a popular Instagram account and a lot of questions. Seriously, who would name a place Dead Dog's Island though?
