Fancy cruising around the Mediterranean with The Hoff? Here's your chance!
If you drooled over him in his red shorts as Mitch Buchannon in Baywatch or were thrilled by his heroic adventures as Michael Knight in Knight Rider, you're going to love this opportunity to get up close and personal with actor David Hasselhoff. Next year the first official Hasselhoff fan cruise will depart from Italy for six days, with The Hoff himself as the main attraction on board.
The cruise ship Costa Favolosa is the setting for this fan extravaganza, and it will depart from Savona in Italy, before visiting Civitavecchia, where passengers can see Rome, and then on to Barcelona and Marseille. Tickets start at €599 per person, and the exclusive Hasselhoff fan package includes a concert, get-together, autograph session and an evening theatre event, "David in Person." The latter will involve The Hoff screening scenes from his movies, and giving fans the opportunity to ask him questions.
The cruise ship contains 1508 cabins, five restaurants, 13 bars, four swimming pools and a spa, and German cruise firm GEO Reisen is behind the voyage. It is likely that there will be great interest in it, given that the 64-year-old actor holds the Guinness World Record title for the world's most watched man on television.
Dedicated fans will be thrilled at the chance to mingle with the Hoff at the pool (alas, probably not in those shorts), sit next to him in the 4D cinema, roll the dice with him at the casino, and boogie on down with him at the nightclub.
Happily, the actor is just as excited at the prospect of mingling with his legions of fans. “Thanks to my fans around the world I can look back on an exceptional career in showbusiness and there is much more to come," he said, in relation to this cruise. "It is high time to give back the gratitude and fun that you bring me every day. I will be on board throughout the journey and cannot wait to spend unforgettable days with you!”
