The Eiffel Tower goes green with wind turbines

In an effort to conserve energy, Paris’ Eiffel Tower is going green with two wind turbines that have been installed on the second floor. Part of its high profile renovation project, which saw a new glass floor installed on the first level, the state of the art wind turbines sit 127 metres up and are designed to generate 10,000 kwh of power annually. The power will then go towards providing electricity for restaurants and shops on the tower’s first floor. Read more:
