Thai tiger park reopens following tourist mauling

Phuket's Tiger Kingdom has reopened for business despite the near-fatal mauling of an Australian tourist last week. The fate of the tiger, which a park spokesman claimed is no longer in the enclosure, remains unclear. Animal welfare groups have condemned the controversial tourist attraction for many years, with People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) describing captivity as a ‘living hell’ for the big cats.
