One airline passenger ended up the witness - and videographer - of the moment when an outer piece of the airplane’s engine cowl doors broke and fell off as the plane took flight.

The Sky Airlines flight was going from Santiago to Copiapo, Chile, with 137 passengers on board, when a passenger captured the moment on a cell phone camera, reports the Daily Mail.

The plane made an emergency landing and the majority of passengers boarded a different flight.
