Selma stars arrive in Alabama to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day

Oprah Winfrey and David Oyelowo were among the celebrities who arrived in the Alabama town of Selma on Sunday to lead a march in honour of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The stars, cast and crew of the town’s namesake Oscar-nominated film joined a march down the streets of the town, singing songs and waving banners as they went. The biopic Selma tells the story of the 1965 Selma to Montgomery voting rights march lead by the civil rights pioneer. Read more:
