Spot a whale during watch-week on Oregon Coast
The week following the Christmas holidays is known as an official whale-watching week along the Oregon Coast, so it’s now prime time to catch a glimpse of migrating grey whales.
The neighbouring state parks currently offer training programmes for volunteers who wish to help visitors spot whales at 24 different locations along the coast, including two sites in Washington and California. For more information, visit the Oregon state parks’ website, as it includes whale count data from last year’s viewing that will help visitors decide where to go for this year’s whale-spotting adventure.
