Spanish grandmother goes missing for three days after Sistine Chapel tour

An elderly Spanish woman went missing in Rome last weekend, after becoming separated from her family during a tour of the Sistine Chapel. The 72-year-old woman, who suffers from Alzheimers and was not carrying money, identification papers or a mobile phone, wandered off alone and wasn’t found until three days later, after a search involving the police and the Spanish Embassy. She was in good health, but couldn’t explain where she’d been, only saying that she had ‘slept two nights on a sofa’. Read more:
