Southeast Asia haze crisis to last until November

The thick haze blanketing Singapore, and parts of Malaysia and Indonesia, is set to remain until November, say Indonesian authorities.

The nation’s disaster management agency said that it will need more boots on the ground to fight the fires, as well as more money to deal with the crisis, due in part to an extreme dry spell caused by the El Nino effect, said to be among the strongest on record.
