Snowstorm to ruin Valentine’s Day travel in northeast US

The wintery weather currently battering the northeast USA could break some hearts this weekend as flight and rail route cancellations will be disrupting many travel plans over Valentine’s weekend. The coast of New England is under a blizzard warning, and on Thursday evening many airlines posted travel alerts for people with flights booked over the weekend. JetBlue is encouraging passengers with flights booked on February 14th and 15th to or from the northeast to rebook at a later date. Virgin America, Delta Air Lines and other carriers have posted travel advisories warning passengers that there may be delays or cancellations. Travellers are advised to always check the status of their flights before heading to the airport. Read more: usatoday.com
