An intense storm dropped up to four inches of hail near Rapid City, South Dakota, requiring snow ploughs to clear the roads.

According to the National Weather Service, the storm dropped pea-size hail on Highway 16 for about 15 minutes, causing a few cars to go off the road, but no injuries were reported. Read more: nytimes.com
