Smuggler detained in Ecuador with Galapagos iguanas in luggage
A man from Mexico has been arrested for attempting to smuggle eleven endangered iguanas from the Galapagos Islands in his luggage.
The alleged trafficker was stopped in the town of Puerto Ayora on the island of Santa Cruz and transferred to a mainland prison in Guayaquil. Authorities said the man had committed similar crimes in New Zealand and had intentions of sending the nine marine iguanas and two land iguanas to Uganda. Read more: telegraph.co.uk
