Slovenia’s National Gallery opens after renovation

Slovenia’s National Gallery in the capital Ljubljana is to reopen on Wednesday 27 January after the completion of a €14 million renovation and extension project that started in 2012.

The gallery’s permanent collection of Slovenian and European art has been expanded by one third and recurated, with the largest painting displayed in the building’s great hall. Admission to the gallery will be free for the first four days after its reopening.
