Singapore names orchid after Serena Williams

Tennis star Serena Williams has had an orchid named after her following her win at the Women's Tennis Association Finals in Singapore. Other VIPs who have been bestowed the honour in Singapore include Margaret Thatcher, Kofi Annan, Andrea Bocelli and Princess Diana. The celebrity orchids can be viewed at the National Orchid Garden at Singapore Botanic Gardens. Read more: straitstimes.com
