Serbian authorities ask citizens to stop throwing grenades in the garbage

The authorities in Serbia have asked their citizens to stop disposing of munitions such as hand grenades in garbage containers. It’s estimated that there are hundreds of thousands of unregistered weapons in the country, left over from the wars in ex-Yugoslavia during the 1990s. Under a new law, strict medical and psychiatric checks will be required for owning firearms. In the meantime people can hand weapons to the police until 4 June under an amnesty. Read more:
