Senegal scraps visa requirements for visitors

In an effort to revive its tourism sector, which was crippled by the Ebola outbreak in neighbouring countries, Senegal has decided to abolish visa requirements for foreign visitors, and will also slash taxes on air fares. Visa-free travel will commence on the first of May, but it is still not clear when the government taxes on flights will be cut in half. Ebola killed thousands in nearby Liberia and Sierra Leone – Senegal recorded one case, but prevented any further spread. Read more:
