Selfie sticks take a beating at some New York museums
Visitors to New York this year might find a restriction they weren't expecting - the ’selfie stick’ is taking a bit of a beating from some New York tourist quarters.
CBS New York reports that the modern photographic aid is now not welcome in some of the Big Apple’s great museums.
Used to allow people with phone cameras to get a better self-portrait normally with a famous background, they are now outlawed by officials at the Museum of Modern Art and the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design museum among others. It is understood that the Metropolitan Museum of Art is also considering a ban.
