Second Australian surfer dies in Mentawais
A second Australian has died on a surf trip to Indonesia's famed Mentawai Islands in the space of a week.
Adam Albert Dube was reportedly found dead on Wednesday morning after vanishing during an ocean swim with friends the night before. His death follows that of another Australian, 54-year-old Ronald Stephen Schneider, who died after being smashed onto rocks in heavy surf at the Mentawais last week. Local police have warned surfers heading to the famous reef breaks off the coast of Sumatra to be extra vigilant during the current dry season, when wave sizes peak and conditions are particularly dangerous.
