San Francisco Art Institute seeks new home

The San Francisco Art Institute, the 143-year old school and gallery space that receives a million visitors a year, is looking at creating a new outpost at the Fort Mason Center. The move would be the latest feather in the arts crown of the regenerated Fort Mason site, which already houses theatres, museums, apartments and a famous vegetarian restaurant, Greens.
