San Diego hopes to get Americas Cup again

America’s 'finest city', San Diego is hoping to stage the 2017 Americas Cup. The city has already hosted the sailing event three times in the past and will compete against Bermuda for the upcoming honour. The proposal is supported by a video extolling the city’s suitability and the aim of having the yachts viewable by spectators from the shore. The winner is announced in December. Read more:
