Russian train derails into sea during cyclone

A passenger train on the Chekhov to Tamari route derailed into the Okhotsk Sea during a cyclone on Sakhalin Island in Russian Far East. One person is confirmed killed, and over a dozen injured. The crash happened as 150m of tracks were washed away by huge waves. Train travel between Pioneers and Chekhov stations on this route is temporarily suspended. Read more: siberiantimes.com
