Russian tourist fined €20k for graffiti at Colosseum

A 42-year-old Russian tourist has been fined €20,000 and given a four-month suspended prison sentence for carving his initial into the wall of Rome’s Colosseum. A guard caught him in the act of using a sharp stone to scrape a 25-cm-high ‘K’ into one of the amphitheatre’s interior walls. Read more:
