Road to Rio 2016: Kosovo provisionally recognised by International Olympic Committee

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has provisionally recognised the Kosovo Olympic Committee on 22 October. The decision on full recognition will be made at the IOC’s December session in Monaco. Kosovo is recognised as a country by 108 of the 193 member states of the UN. The decision will allow Kosovo athletes to take part in qualifications for the Olympic Games in Rio in 2016. Read more: olympic.org
