Ringling Bros. circus company fined for ‘human chandelier’ accident

The popular US circus company, Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey, which is often billed as ‘The Greatest Show on Earth’ has been fined $7000 for an accident involving a ‘human chandelier’ which collapsed at an event in Providence, Rhode Island, last May. Nine people were injured during the stunt when a metal frame gave way under the weight of the performers who were suspended from it, 20 ft above the ground.
