Czech Republic bids to ban smoking in restaurants

The Czech government has drafted a bill which would see a ban on smoking in restaurants and bars in the country. Previous governments have attempted to introduce such a ban, but have run into opposition. The proposals would mean that smoking - including the use of e-cigarettes - would also be prohibited in sports and concert venues. The Czech Republic is the last EU member not to have restrictions on smoking in restaurants. Read more:
