Queenland’s open-air urinals get a rethink

The Gold Coast City Council has decided it will screen off open-air urinals which were installed along its popular party strips such as Cavill Mall and Orchid Avenue as part of a trial. They will also delay the urinal opening hours from 8.30pm to midnight after public backlash over seeing men urinating in public. The trial has been introduced to stop drunken men from urinating in shopfront windows after they leave Gold Coast night spots. Read more: abc.net.au
