Learn about Queen Victoria at a new Buckingham Palace exhibition
To mark 200 years since the birth of Queen Victoria, a new exhibition will be held at Buckingham Palace in London.
Queen Victoria’s Palace follows the life of the young queen as she transformed the palace from a private home into a working royal residence, operating as both a private and public space. According to the description: “Together with Prince Albert, she made Buckingham Palace a rallying point for the nation, a powerful symbol of the British Monarchy, and a family home for their nine children”.
Guests will be able to see items like her costumes, her throne and a recreation of a Victorian state dinner. The exhibition runs until 29 September, 2019 – find out more here.
