Property buyers in Greece to get Greek citizenship

The Greek government is planning a new bill to allow non-EU citizens to get Greek citizenship if they buy real-estate property in Greece worth at least 250,000. The bill could come into effect by the end of the year. Until now, people who spent at least 250,000 euros on property in Greece could get a five-year residence permit. The new law would allow them to renew the permit and become Greek citizens after seven years of residence. Read more:
