Dog-lovers will adore a pop-up pug café that is coming to London next month
If you're a pug owner or merely a dog-lover, you'll be delighted to hear that a pop-up pug café is coming to London. It's an opportunity to immerse yourself in everything pug-related, while enjoying delicious wholesome treats designed for both dogs and humans. There’s even a free puguccino for every dog that attends!
The one-day event will take place at The Book Club café in the heart of Shoreditch, London. While the adorable pugs are having fun, humans can feast on a specially-prepared menu that includes fresh berry pancakes, avocado on sourdough toast, grilled sandwiches and sweet treats. Best of all, you’ll get the chance to meet and play with lots of lovely pugs.
The organiser is Anushka Fernando and her partner James, with help from their assistant Bertie the Pug. Anushka hosted the world’s first Pop Up Pug Cafe in her hometown of Guildford earlier this year followed by one in Brighton, and what started off as a relatively small coffee morning for pugs has become a big and exciting event that is attracting pug owners and pug lovers from across the UK. The idea is to create a space where a group, or grumble as it's officially termed, of the adorable snub-nosed dogs will be treated like kings and queens.
The Pop Up Pug Café event will take place on Saturday 9 September, but hurry to register from Saturday 19 August onwards as spaces are extremely limited. For more information on the menu and location, visit here. Tickets cost £5 for those with a pug and £10 for those without, and a portion of the money raised will be donated to The French and Pug Dog Foundation.
