One World Observatory, the observation deck at the top of One World Trade Center in New York City, finally opened its doors and fancy Sky Pod elevators to the public on Friday and thousands of eager visitors and New Yorkers made the trip to Lower Manhattan to be the first in line. Tips and advice from these very first visits include not wasting time trying to be the first in line for your timed ticket (everyone will be admitted at the same time) and avoiding the food, gift shop and ‘green screen’ photo op. However, most agree the $32 ticket to the top of the tallest building in the western hemisphere is well worth it, with amazing views, and friendly staff helping you on your way.
