Peru-Brazil border struck by 7.6 magnitude quakes

On Tuesday the  Peru-Brazil border was hit by two large earthquakes of magnitude 7.6.

Thankfully, as the epicentre was believed to be somewhere in the Amazon jungle the damage is thought to be limited with oil and gas companies in the region reporting normal service. Both quakes were very deep underground so pose no threat of a subsequent tsunami.
