Papal visit to the Philippines prompts 200 flight cancellations

Airlines in the Philippines have announced more than 200 flight cancellations – both domestic and international – to take place during Pope Francis’ Philippines visit this month. There will also be limited operations at Manila’s international airport on 15 January and 19 January. The majority Catholic country is preparing for major crowds during the papal visit, with millions expected to turn out to Mass at Manila’s Luneta Park (Rizal Park) on 18 January.  Read more:
