Pakistan International Airways exposed hiring crew with fake qualifications

Pakistan International Airways, the beleaguered national carrier of Pakistan has been exposed hiring hundreds of staff with fake qualifications, including pilots. In a government audit, the airline admitted hiring 260 employees with bogus qualifications, including one of its long-haul pilots, the brother of former national cricket team captain Waqar Younis. Counterfeit qualifications are widely available in Pakistan, but the airline has denied that safety was put at risk by hiring staff with fake papers. Read more:
