Othello’s Tower to reopen in Cyprus

The 14th-century Othello’s Tower in Cyprus, is reopening after an extensive renovation project. The tower is the fictional setting for Shakespeare’s drama Othello and is part of a fortress in the medieval town of Famagusta (Mağusa). It suffered decades of decay and the restoration works were part of an EU-funded project. The tower will open to the public on the second of July with a performance of Shakespeare’s drama, with Greek and Turkish Cypriot actors taking part. Read more: cyprus-mail.com
