Orange weather alert for Central France

At 6am Wednesday morning, a huge region of Central France was given an orange alert weather warning - the second highest warning.

The Météo France weather service has announced that ‘a very turbulent and complex weather system is currently passing over the country.’ In total 26 departments have been warned to expect violent storms and wind speeds of around 120 km/h. Reports have indicated that the Auvergne and the regions around the city of Lyon could be especially affected by the adverse conditions. Read more: thelocal.fr
