Odense Zoo to host public lion dissection despite previous controversy
Following the hugely controversial dissection of a giraffe at Copenhagen Zoo in 2014, another Danish zoo is to host a public dissection, this time on a lion.
The lion at Odense Zoo was euthanised a few months ago as its pride had grown too large; it will be dissected by an employee of the zoo on 15 October, in front of an audience. A spokesperson from the zoo said, 'We are doing it to show how fantastic a lion is. There are many physical adaptations needed to be the top predator on the savannah.' Read more: thelocal.dk
