Norwegian breaks snowmobile record over water

Norwegian Morten Blien has set a new record for the longest distance travelled over water on a snowmobile.

The daredevil managed to speed 212km down the Karasjoka and Tanaelva rivers in northern Norway before his snowmobile cut out unexpectedly. Blien completed his ride in just over four hours. The first championships for the sport, known as snowmobile watercross, was held in Wisconsin in 1977. Read more:
