North Carolina on verge of allowing hemp farms

The only thing standing between legal hemp farming in North Carolina is the governor’s signature.

The bill awaiting Governor Pat McCrory’s signature would legalize industrial hemp farming in the state. Industrial hemp only has a fraction of the substance that makes the cannabis plant psychoactive. Hemp farming could offer the state a lucrative new industry, with hemp being used in everything from artisanal foods to textiles. Read more at:
