Nomad Barber on adventurous hairdressing quest travelling the world to give out free haircuts
Nomad Barber and Liverpool native Miguel Gutierrez has been travelling around the globe for over three years giving some of the world's most adventurous haircuts.
From the balloon filled plains of Cappadocia in Turkey to remote Pokhara in the hills of Nepal, the filmmaker and trained barber has travelled to over 30 countries with his scissors in hand. He even travelled to Calais in late 2015 to hand out haircuts to some of the thousands of refugees living there.
On a quest to see how the barber trade varies around the world, he offers haircuts in exchange for absolutely anything and has been documenting his experiences in a YouTube web series since 2013, racking up almost 100,000 subscribers for the 21 part series.
He has offered haircuts in many unusual destinations around the world including in a boat on the river Ganges, close to the Iranian border in Northern Iraq and on top of one of the 40,000 basalt columns at the Giant's Causeway in Northern Ireland.
While Gutierrez recently took a break from his world travels to set up permanent barber shops in London and Berlin, he plans to hit the road again at the end of June.
