New York’s bike-share program to double in size

Citi Bike, New York’s bike-sharing scheme which launched in May 2013 is set to double the number of bikes available by 2017. The company’s new head, Jay Walder, who was announced on Tuesday as the chief executive of Alta Bicycle Share,promised to double the number of bikes available and revamp the infrastructure. He has said 1000 extra bikes will be on the streets by next year, with the remainder ready by 2017. Read more: nytimes.com
