New York Comic Con brings interesting characters to the Big Apple

Like most events of its kind, New York Comic Con drew in a lot of characters, filling the Javits Centre with a celebration of all things pop culture last weekend.

The convention brings together all the best and newest in comics, anime, video games, movies, TV shows and more. The event features sneak peeks at films and television shows and brings in thousands of fans, many of them in elaborate costumes to celebrate their favourite characters of all time.

Last year's gathering of Comic Con brought in more than 150,000 visitors, according to the official website.
