New York cabbies unhappy as Uber doubles its driver numbers

In the last year, Uber X drivers have gone from just under 10,000 to more than 20,000 in the New York City area.

Uber counts more than 2.5 million riders in the NYC area, and they take an average of one million rides per week. While the taxi cab drivers aren’t happy about the influx of Uber drivers, it offers an additional way for visitors and residents to get around the city. Read more at: gothamist.com
