New-style celebrations for Greek Independence Day

Greece’s new government has announced that the Greek Independence Day on 25 March will be celebrated in different style this year. In addition to the honorary military parade, there will be various parallel events such as traditional Greek dances and songs on the Syntagma Square in Athens. The authorities have called the celebrations a popular event similar to a demonstration and asked the citizens to take part. Greek flags will be given to the spectators who will be mixed with the representatives of the government and the army. Read more: greece.greekreporter.com
