Nepal-Tibet highway reopens after earthquake

The Arniko Highway linking Nepal and Tibet has finally reopened after the devastating earthquakes in April and May this year.

This important trade route crosses the Nepal-China border at Kodari, the only permitted border crossing for travellers travelling by road between the two countries. Damage to the highway was extensive, and further landslides remain a possibility as terrain has been destabilised by the tremors. Read more: news.xinhuanet.com
