Nepal-India border stand-off enters fourth day
Blockades by groups opposed to Nepal’s new constitution have closed the border between India and Nepal for the fourth day, creating shortages of fuel and other essentials in parts of the country.
At Birganj, the country’s busiest freight crossing, only eight trucks were able to make it across the border today, with perishable cargoes of fish and other produce left baking in long queues on both sides of the border.
