Nairobi–Nakuru safari road blocked by protest in Kenya

Residents used rocks and branches to block the highway that links Kenya’s capital to safari destinations such as Lake Nakuru National Park and Lake Bogoria National Reserve. The move was made on Monday morning to protest the security situation around Kwambira, which has seen three people killed in the past two months The group demanded an overhaul of the Limuru sub-county security team and urged Kiambu County governor William Kabogo to intervene.
